    Hokkaido is a fairyland of flowers in spring and summer. In blossom season, you can find Lavender, Tulip, Japanese Rose, Sun flower etc. Walk or bike in the countryside of Biei and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Some best spots to catch the cherry blossoms in spring are in Maruyama Park in Sapporo or Asahikawa Park where rows of sakura trees leave one in awe of its beauty.

Itinerary

  • Day 01 - Hong Kong / Asahikawa/ Asahidake
    Fly Hong Kong/Haneda NH 840 0050/0555 - Mon, Sat (4h 5m)
      Haneda/Asahikawa NH 4783 1115/1250 - Daily (1h 35m)
    Start your day with a visit to Kamikawa Shrine which sits on a hill overlooking the city Asahikawa.

    Ramen lunch is recommended at the famous Ramen Village.
    Continue to Asahidake and relax rest of the day.

  • Day 02 - Asahidake
    Today, visit Daisetsuzan National Park, the largest national park in Japan. Take the Asahidake ropeway up to the mountain and enjoy a 2-hour trekking in the park.

    Afternoon, visit Daisetsuzan Mori No Garden. This flower garden sits on a hill overlooking Daisetsu mountain range.

  • Day 03 - Asahidake/ Biei/ Furano
    Morning, drive to Biei and visit Patchwork Hill for panoramic view of countryside. The highlight of the day is Shikisai Hill, a spacious flower park with various flower fields. You can opt to cycle along the Panorama Road and take in the view of rural and scenic beauty.

    Walk around the Blue Pond, named after its deep blue color, which it owes to natural minerals dissolved in the water. Afternoon, hop on a Norokko train from Biei to Furano, also named as Lavender train, which has great view of the flower fields along the rail.

    Upon arrival transfer to hotel.

  • Day 04 - Furano
    Morning, walk in colorful flower field of Farm Tomita. Then, step into a Cheese factory, have a hands-on experience of making cheese. Followed by a visit to Furano wine factory. Surrounded by vineyard, you will step in the factory and get to know how to make local wine. If interest, you can have a taste of local wine.


    Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner at Hotel (Dinner included for staying at Furano Hotel only)

  • Day 05 - Furano/ Sapporo

    Enjoy morning free for leisure.

    Optional: For the adventurous, take the challenge to raft down the Sorachi River (about 3.5 hours).

    Afternoon drive to Sapporo and enjoy a city tour of Odori Park, Old Government building, clock tower.

  • Day 06 - Sapporo/ Otaru/ Sapporo

    Morning, drive to Otaru, a historical seaside port town facing the Ishikari-wan Bay.

    Visit the Nikka whisky factory, one of Japan's top whisky makers, which has its main distillery in Yoichi – the Kingdom of Fruit where grapes grown on this rich land become wine!

    Optional: Learn how to make sushi by preparing our own sushi rolls for lunch

    In the afternoon, hop on a rickshaw at Asakusa Bridge and enjoy short ride on the rickshaw around the Warehouse district.  Then continue to explore the charming town by foot, visiting some interesting small museum or shops.

    Return to Sapporo.

    Optional: Or upgrade a night in Otaru for local ryokan experience

  • Day 07 - Chitose/ Hong Kong
    Morning, drive to Chitose. Spend some time in the outlets or at leisure, before being transferred for flight home.
